About TourWhisper

What is TourWhisper?
TourWhisper is a personalized self-guided audio experience that helps you explore meaningful places through guided audio, flexible routes, and stories that make each place feel more connected.
Is TourWhisper a live guided tour?
No. TourWhisper is self-guided. There is no live guide, fixed group, or scheduled tour time. You use your phone, start when you are ready, and move at your own pace.
Is TourWhisper just an audio guide?
TourWhisper includes audio, but it is designed to feel more personal than a traditional audio guide. Where available, you can choose the route, experience style, and language that fit your visit.
What makes TourWhisper different?
TourWhisper helps you know what to notice, where to look, and why it matters. Instead of giving you disconnected facts, each experience is designed to help the place feel clearer, more meaningful, and more connected.
Who is TourWhisper for?
TourWhisper is for travelers, families, museum visitors, culture lovers, curious locals, and anyone who wants more than simply passing through a place.

Purchases & access

How do I access my guide after purchase?
Use the same email or account you used during purchase. If your guide does not appear, check your confirmation email and contact support with your purchase email and guide name.
I bought a guide but cannot find it. What should I do?
Check your inbox, spam folder, promotions folder, and the account connected to your purchase. If you still cannot find it, email support@tourwhisper.com.
What information should I include when asking for help?
Please include your purchase email, guide name, date of purchase, device type, and a short description of the issue. Screenshots are helpful.
Can I use the same guide more than once?
This depends on the access terms for the guide you purchased. In general, TourWhisper experiences are designed so you can revisit stops during your access period.
Can I share my purchased guide with someone else?
Your guide is connected to your purchase or account. Sharing rules may depend on the product and access terms. For group or family use, contact support if you have questions.
Can I buy a guide as a gift?
Gift options may be added in the future. For now, contact us if you want help purchasing access for someone else.

Routes, stops & styles

How does TourWhisper work?
Choose the experience you want, select your route, experience style, and language where available, then follow the guide from your phone. At each stop, listen when you are ready.
Do I need to follow a fixed route?
No. You can follow the suggested route or adapt the experience by skipping stops, replaying stops, or spending more time where you want.
What are route options?
Some TourWhisper experiences include route lengths such as Must-See Route for essential stops, Highlights Plus for a fuller path with richer context, and Full Immersion for the most complete experience.
What are experience styles?
Some guides include Thoughtful Explorer for deeper narration, Young Adventurer for a lighter style, and Inclusive Learner for clearer, more descriptive guidance with added orientation.
Can I change my route or style after starting?
Where available, yes. You can change your route, style, or language before or during the experience.
Can I start in the middle of a route?
Usually, yes. You can open the stop list or map and begin at the stop closest to you. For the best experience, we recommend starting with the first stop when possible.
Can I skip, replay, or pause stops?
Yes. You can pause, continue, replay, skip ahead, or go deeper at your own pace.

Audio, GPS availability & phone use

Does the audio start automatically?
Not always. At launch, some narrations are designed for manual playback from the stop list or map. GPS and automatic playback may be available only for selected experiences at first, with broader GPS support coming soon.
What should I do if the audio does not play?
Check your phone volume, silent mode, Bluetooth connection, and internet connection. Then close and reopen the guide. If the issue continues, message us on WhatsApp or email support.
Is GPS available for every TourWhisper narration?
No, not initially. GPS and automatic location-based playback may not be available for every narration at launch. You can still use the guide manually by choosing the closest stop from the list or map and tapping play. More GPS-supported experiences are planned soon.
What should I do if GPS is not accurate?
For GPS-supported experiences, make sure location services are enabled. GPS accuracy can vary depending on your phone, buildings, indoor spaces, tunnels, weather, or signal conditions. You can always use the stop list and play audio manually.
Do I need internet service?
Some features may require internet access. If offline access is available for your guide, download or open the required content before your visit. We recommend preparing before you arrive, especially for road trips, parks, or places with limited signal.
Will TourWhisper use a lot of battery?
Using audio, maps, your screen, and GPS-enabled features where available can use battery. Start with a charged phone and bring a portable charger for longer visits, walking tours, road trips, or scenic drives.
Can I connect TourWhisper to my car speakers?
For driving experiences, you can usually connect your phone to your car using Bluetooth, USB, or your car’s audio system. Test the audio before starting the route.
Do I need headphones?
Headphones or earbuds are recommended, especially in museums, indoor spaces, crowded areas, or walking tours. For scenic drives, you may prefer to play the audio through your car speakers.

Tickets & venue rules

Is admission included?
No. Admission, parking, transportation, special tickets, shows, food, and venue services are not included unless clearly stated.
Do I still need a ticket to enter a museum, landmark, or attraction?
Yes. If the place requires admission, reservations, timed entry, parking, or a separate ticket, you are responsible for arranging that directly with the venue or provider.
Is TourWhisper an official guide from the venue?
Only if clearly stated. Some TourWhisper experiences may be independently created and are not official guides from the museum, landmark, park, city, or venue.
What if a stop is closed or unavailable?
Places can change hours, close rooms, restrict access, or adjust routes without notice. If a stop is unavailable, skip it and continue with the next available stop.
Can TourWhisper guarantee access to a place?
No. TourWhisper provides the self-guided audio experience. The venue controls admission, access, closures, capacity, and on-site rules.

Refunds & support

What is your refund policy?
If you could not access or use your purchased guide because of a technical issue we could not help resolve, contact us. Refund requests are reviewed based on the purchase, access status, and issue reported.
Can I get a refund if I changed my plans?
Because TourWhisper guides are digital self-guided experiences, refunds for change of plans may be limited. Contact support and we will review your request.
Can I get a refund if the venue was closed?
Venue hours, closures, tickets, parking, and access are controlled by the venue, not TourWhisper. Please check official venue information before your visit. If a closure significantly affected your ability to use the guide, contact us and we will review the situation.
How long do refunds take?
If a refund is approved, timing depends on the original payment method and payment processor.
Where should I send support questions?
Use WhatsApp for urgent visit-day help. Use support@tourwhisper.com for refunds, purchases, account questions, and detailed support.

Languages & accessibility

What languages are available?
Available languages depend on the guide. TourWhisper is designed to support multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese where available.
Can I read instead of listen?
Some TourWhisper experiences may include transcripts or read-along text. Availability depends on the guide.
Is TourWhisper accessible?
TourWhisper is designed to support different ways of exploring, including clearer narration and descriptive guidance where available. Accessibility can also depend on the venue, route, terrain, elevators, stairs, crowds, and local conditions.
Is TourWhisper good for children or families?
Yes, many experiences can work well for families. Where available, the Young Adventurer style offers a lighter, more playful way to experience the place.
Is TourWhisper good for visitors who want more clarity or orientation?
Yes. Where available, the Inclusive Learner style gives clearer guidance, stronger orientation, and more descriptive narration.

Creators & institutions

Can creators work with TourWhisper?
Yes. TourWhisper wants to collaborate with creators, writers, educators, researchers, local experts, guides, and storytellers who can help turn meaningful places into clearer self-guided audio experiences.
Can museums or institutions contact TourWhisper?
Yes. Museums, landmarks, historic sites, cultural centers, universities, cities, tourism boards, and visitor organizations can contact us to explore official collaborations, visitor education, multilingual audio experiences, content updates, or corrections.
Why should an institution contact TourWhisper?
TourWhisper can help visitors understand a place before, during, and after the visit through flexible self-guided routes, clearer storytelling, multiple experience styles, language options where available, and content that can be updated as the place evolves.
Can an institution request a correction or update?
Yes. If your institution, organization, or team sees something that should be corrected, improved, clarified, or officially contextualized, contact us with the guide name, stop name if relevant, and the suggested update.
What should I include in a collaboration message?
Please include your name, organization or creator profile, city or place, the type of collaboration you have in mind, and any existing materials, links, or guide ideas you would like us to review.
Where should creators and institutions contact TourWhisper?
Email creators@tourwhisper.com for creator guide proposals, institutional collaborations, official updates, corrections, education partnerships, and future content opportunities.

Safety

Should I look at my phone while walking or driving?
Use TourWhisper safely. Do not stare at your phone while crossing streets, walking in crowded areas, driving, or moving through unfamiliar places.
Can I use TourWhisper while driving?
For driving experiences, set up your guide and audio before you begin. Do not adjust the guide while driving. Pull over safely if you need to change settings.
Do I need to follow all route suggestions exactly?
No. Always follow real-world safety, local laws, venue rules, road conditions, closures, and staff instructions first.
What should I do if I feel lost?
Pause the guide, check the map or stop list, and move to a safe place. You can restart from the closest stop or contact support if needed.
